Why would a Christian woman vote for Trump? - Your questions answered

Ever wondered how a conservative Christian woman justifies voting for Donald Trump? Or how someone reconciles their faith with a leader whose behavior often raises eyebrows? Today, we're ripping off the band-aid and answering some of the questions that have been flooding our DMs. No sugar-coating, no dancing around the issues—just real talk about politics, faith, and those messy places where they collide.

“But How Can You Support Him?"

One of the most common questions we have been receiving is from Democrats curious as to how Jolene as a Christian conservative Republican can vote for Donald Trump? With his track record of womanizing, racism and the general lack of Christian values, how can she still vote for this man?

Jolene explained that she’s not blind to Trump's flaws. The Billy Bush tape is a perfect example of this. She doesn’t condone or support that behavior. But here's the thing, the Post-Clinton era taught us something crucial. Sometimes good presidents can be deeply flawed people. Jolene is voting for policies, not a personality contest. She is focused on the promises that Donald Trump and the Republican party are making in the election campaign, and focusing on what this will mean for herself, her family and her business.

In the 2016 election, it boiled down to the Supreme Court picks and in 2024, border security was the highest priority for Jolene.

But Jolene has three daughters, and Nicole found it difficult to understand how a vote for Trump would be possible - especially in a post-Roe world that we’re now living in.

Jolene didn't skip a beat: Being a mom to daughters is exactly why she looks at the bigger picture. She acknowledges that we’re not just voting for today—we're voting for their tomorrow. And sometimes that means making complicated choices that others might not understand. Although some of the policies do not align with Jolene’s values, overall she can see the vision of what the Republican party and Donald Trump are trying to build.

Let's tackle the biggie—how does someone who condemns racism and sexism support a leader often accused of enabling both?

Jolene was quick to acknowledge that Donald Trump’s behavior is deplorable on many occasions. She’s not cosigning on everything he says or does. Jolene is focused on the broader economic policies and national security decisions that are good for the nation as a whole. At the end of the day, it’s about endorsing outcomes, not individuals.

Here's the thing—whether you're nodding along or shaking your head, this conversation matters. We're peeling back the layers of assumptions that keep us divided and replacing them with something more valuable: understanding.
